Fasófélagið -Ísland

Since 2015, Burkina Faso, a country that has enjoyed peace for so many years, has faced frequent jihadist attacks. These terrorist attacks have killed a significant number of people, destroyed over three thousand schools, many churches and various public institutions. About two million people have fled their homes and are today forced to become refugees in their own country. Many leave behind their possessions, fields and livestock. This in turn increases poverty in the country, increases food insecurity and puts thousands of children out of school, which leads to an increased need for aid in the country.

We at Fasofelägið would like to participate in helping to bring relief in any way we can. While we continue our regular activities that have been going on since 2013, this year 2023 our main goal is to help those who have been forced to flee their homes. We invite you to join us and help bring relief to the lives of so many who are in need. It only takes a few minutes to give, but the effects can be life-changing.
